2008 WWA Wakeboard World Series

The World Wakeboard Association is proud to announce the 5th annual WWA Wakeboard World Series. The WWA brought the World Series to the table back in 2004 as a premiere series that teamed up with the most prestigious events all over the globe. For 2008, the WWA Wakeboard World Series will include five stops, and will kick off in early July.

 

The Dates and Locations for the 2008 WWA World Series are as follows:

 

Stop #1

Contest: The CamSur Rider’s Cup.

Date: July 4th – 6th, 2008

Location: CamSur Watersports Complex. Camarines Sur, Philippines.

 

Stop #2

Contest: Malibu Open

Date: July 18th – 20th, 2008

Location: Pontiac Lake. Detroit, Michigan, United States.

Stop #3

Contest: Wakestock

Date: July 24th – 27th, 2008

Location: Toronto Islands, Ontario, Canada.

 

Stop #4

Contest: JWBA J-Round

Date: August 2nd – 3rd, 2008

Location: Tokyo, Japan.

 

Stop #5

Contest: WWA Wakeboard World Championships

Date: September 4th – 7th, 2008

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States.

 


There is a $20,000 prize pool that will be distributed to the top 3 overall winners at the conclusion of the series. The WWA continues to be the only association that gives the largest payout for an international series, amounting in over $200,000 in prize money.
