The World Wakeboard Association is proud to announce the dates and locations for the 2009 WWA Wake Park World Series (WPWS). This is the second year of the groundbreaking series brought to you by the WWA, with events at wake parks all across the globe. In 2009, the series will boast five events in separate countries across three continents. The WWA has partnered with the biggest and most prestigious events in each region of the world, making the WWA Wake Park World Series (WPWS) the most legitimate international wake park series to date. With over $200,000 in total prize money for the series, riders will be battling it out all year long to become the overall WWA Wake Park World Series (WPWS) Champion.
The dates and locations are as follows:
Stop #1: WWA Wake Park World Championships at CWC (CamSur Watersports Complex), Philippines -March 24th – 29th, 2009.
Stop #2: WWA US Wake Park Nationals and Wake Park World Series at OWC (Orlando Watersports Complex) - Orlando, FL. USA -June 12th – 14th, 2009.
Stop #3: Protest Pro-Am (PPA) at Exo-Loisires, La Rena (Bourg en Bresse), France - August 7-9, 2009.
Stop #4: Ukrainian Wake Park Open at X-Traction - Kiev, Ukraine - August 21-23, 2009.
Stop #5: T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds (TMEP) in Hamburg (Pinneberg), Germany - August 29th – 30th, 2009.
